Registration is now open for the 2026 Broadway San Diego Awards. This year’s ceremony will be taking place on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at the historic Balboa Theatre and we hope to see you there.

We are inviting theatre educators from all over San Diego County to enter their high school musical in the local competition via the application below. Entries must be submitted by Friday, October 25, 2025, at 11:59pm for the Fall semester, and Friday, February 27, 2026, at 11:59pm for the Spring semester.
Two winners from the Broadway San Diego Awards will then go on to compete at The Jimmy Awards® (National High School Theatre Awards®), in June of 2025 in New York City!
IMPORTANT DATES TO REMEMBER:
- October 24, 2025 – Fall entry deadline
- February 27, 2026 – Spring entry deadline
- April 26, 2026 – Last day for adjudications
- May 2, 2026 – In-person callbacks
Please Note: Individual 30-minute one-on-one sessions for those who move on from callbacks will be scheduled at a later date.
- May 18–23, 2026 – In-person rehearsals/tech
- May 24, 2026 – The 2026 Broadway San Diego Awards at Balboa Theatre
- June 22, 2026 – The Jimmy Awards® in New York City
